But I’m still able to do it, so I’m happy. The double, triple stint in Le Mans is more demanding for me than a few years ago. I do feel more tired during the stint, I sweat more. I can do the same lap time as the quickest driver. GF: In my experience, I can say the speed is about the same. TC: How does age affect racing drivers? As you have got older, have you got slower? Fernando is in one of the best moments of his career and he can win a few races this year with a good car. He can take the same speed and he has much more experience than in the past.

It's a very difficult circuit physically and mentally, minimal mistakes can cost you a crash. GF: I agree, it was an amazing qualifying session. It’s one of the best qualifying sessions I've ever seen. You must have seen those final laps of Q3 with Verstappen bouncing off the walls, Fernando putting in a sensational lap. It's a bit different from when I was in Formula 1, different style, but it’s still Formula 1 – the best motorsport when you talk about motor racing. When I'm free, I'm happy to watch the race.
